It lies on the edge of the <strong>Lake Tanganyika<\/strong>one of the world's largest and deepest lakes. It's a quiet, natural and pleasant place to visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Lake Tanganyika and its beaches<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Nyanza-Lac, the beaches are <strong>natural and tranquil<\/strong>. The water is soft, clear and shallow, perfect for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>swim<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a rest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>take a walk by the water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>admire the sunset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>see the fishermen in their pirogues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The beaches are not very touristy, which makes them <strong>quiet and clean<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Simple, friendly local life<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the beaches you can see :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>children at play<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>women washing clothes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fishermen bringing in fish<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>small vendors selling fruit and dried fish<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">People are <strong>welcoming<\/strong> and enjoy chatting with visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sleeping in Nyanza-Lac<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a few <strong>hotels<\/strong> and <strong>guest houses<\/strong> simple but comfortable, close to the lake. You can sleep peacefully and enjoy the view over the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How do I get there?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nyanza-Lac is about <strong>3 to 4 hours drive<\/strong> of Bujumbura. You can get there by car or minibus.
